One of Precision Planting’s technologies is a method of planting seeds in exactly the right spot relative to the fertilizer in the soil. This means that farmers need less fertilizer overall because the plants get maximum benefit from the fertilizer.
This fertilizer placement display, then, provides a visual illustration of the results. The cutaway view shows how the plant’s roots grow down through the fertilizer deposits, getting the most nutrients. The different-colored rods represent different kinds of fertilizer.
