It turns out not everyone can easily identify the plant their favorite fruits come from. But the Kid’s Korner in the IQhub museum has a game that can help with that.
This fruit and plant matching game challenges visitors to match all of the fruit toys in the crate to the image of the tree that corresponds to that fruit. To make their selection, they can place the fruit into the hopper below the image that they think matches it. An RFID reader scans the fruit as it falls through the hopper. The reader indicates whether or not the visitor has made the correct match.
After the fruit falls onto the conveyor belt, players can manually turn the wheel to move the fruit along the belt into the storage crate. It mimics how conveyor belts are used to collect fruit in real orchards.
This is a fun knowledge-based game for both kids and adults. It’s an interactive exhibit element that can help visitors learn some basic agricultural facts about their favorite fruits.
